Heartbreaking Real Story of a Humble Farmer

Heartbreaking Story of a Humble Farmer (Selvaraju)
Note:  this Article is not to describe the Snakes as Enemy or something it has been the fate of farmers & rural communities in India, hence we request our Readers not to take it in wrong sense assuming Snakes awkwardly, but Definitely  Snakebite (Envenomation) is a brutal Curse & Evil Crisis of rural communities, above all NSI is a Herpetology & Envenomation Research Program - we Conserve, promote & educate Protection of Snakes...

Heartbreaking Story of a Humble Farmer (Selvaraju)
The person in the Photo is Mr. Selvaraj. name SELVARUJU implies “King of Wealth” but regrettably he was born in a Rural Community (in Vaduga patti, Near Arachalore a 15 Km From Erode (two river) district) and had to grow in insipidness with no Access to basic needs Such as formal education and exposure to outer world likewise other common people of rural Communities like his farther several too was a good humble farmer but very Brave & Courageous…
In order to make availability of reliable data on Envenomation Record, various level Case Studies are been Conducted by NSI. One among them is Historical Envenomation Survey a direct door to door Survey with an intention that the more accurate data that we generate would help in advancement of Studies & treatments in aspect of Envenomation (Snakebite)In this process through reliable Resource NSI gained information about a diseased farmer Victim, it was very upsetting our experts and so a team of NSI Experts rushed in search of the Humble Farmer…
It is imperative to point out that, Mr Selveraj the Noble Brave Farmer had to Experience a worst disgusting Suffering. He has been flesh torn alive, Just because of being a Farmer in India.
Important Note: there is nothing to curse/hate snake for this is not to describe the Snakes as Enemy or something it is the fate of farmers & rural communities in India, hence we request our Readers not to take it in wrong sense assuming Snakes awkwardly, but Definitely  Snakebite (Envenomation) is a brutal Curse & Evil Crisis of rural communities, It was the End of November 2012, by Around 10 pm as Usual Mr.Selvaraj the Humble Farmer was in his Field to stop excess flow of water, on the path he notices a bouquet of Neem leaves laied down while trying to come across it he felt like a dry plant or vine stuck his leg, and when he tried to step ahead it was harder for him to move, to let loose the trapped leg he turned down towards it, at the moment he was shaken & traumatized and realized that his leg was not just Stuck  in a plant, it was a big Snake that has clutched his leg with its big teeth (Fangs)  and the Snake was a Russell’s Viper  the most feared  species among the natives,
There is an Traditional saying among our prideful wisest Tamil Culture that Russell’s viper bites only if the fate is already finished. When compared with the consequences of RV bite this term is dreadfully appropriate & accurate because RV contains (Haemotoxic) if the victim is left out without proper administration & necessary medical treatments as soon as possible, it can be assumed fatal assuring death any moment,On seeing the Snake the Poor Selvaraj realized that he’s in immense DangerThe ferociously striking snake had its two big fangs strongly poked like clamps deep inside the flesh of his leg on seeing it as an rapid reflex response he had a kneejerk and involuntarily waved vigorously  & kicking rapidly trying to withdraw his leg from the snake, but the hook like clutch of the fangs didn’t leave off of his flesh as the snake was jaw stuck in the same place chewing the leg, the brave man Unreservedly grabbed the snake in his hand and threw it down on ground,
But the same time the snake thrown down on the ground the venom of the snake that got shot up in his leg started working all in a fracture of second he felt a slight faintness in his sight, in the meanwhile he tried to realize & was trying to recover from it, the thrown snake with a defensive revenge turned moved toward him from the ground & in an lightening speed with not even a warning it again bit him in the same leg above the sole, This time the Selvaraju didn’t want to take a chance he pulled out the snake & smashed it with a stone (While saying this farmer felt very sorry for doing so he further added that he had no other choice

Now the Venom takes control of his body-
Selvaraj added: that in a moment after killing the snake he felt a lack of sensation from head to toe resembling to an electric shock, instead of panicking he took a deep breath, gently relaxed himself  then to stop the venom spreading through the body  he mend to  tie & twist tightly a metal wire around his thighs & below knees and explained the situation to his friend who came along with him
Along with the help of his relatives they reached to the Government Hospital Erode district (there is a brainy practice & or belief that every snake bite victim should bring the snake (killed) along with them in order to get the appropriate medication) hence they had to take the snake along with the dead snake(But this is wrong dangerous practice that might lead to another bite & shoot up of anxiety, blood pleasure in the conflict) Grand Response & Generosity for the Piety Dying FarmerAs we all know there was a great response & generosity in the GH Their hopeful words from the hospital on seeing the snake was “there is no treatment medicine for this snake bite there is no way to save this man’s life he’s already dead so please take way the body (corpse) On hearing, their relatives were shaken with no other options they had to take their own risky decision to admit to a local Envenomation hospital yet to be specialized in this particular field. Though it was expensive they had no choice to save his life. Hence they admitted him there.

Private Envenomation hospital
In that private Envenomation hospital in order to undertake the treatment procedures they had to untie and remove the metal wires which led to severe consequences Piety Farmer SELVARAJ to save himself has tied his leg with the help of some metal wire found down the ground at the time in the snakebite spot, that tightly twisted metal wire has sealed & blocked the total blood stream, by the time they reached the hospital many times he tried to walk himself with jumping on one leg and has applied weight & stress on his leg that have created pressure and bulged. with no idea on the consequences With no proper treatment procedure & standard protocol’s the private hospital finally untied the metal wires- at the same moment when they untie the metal strings the whole blocked pressure of his leg flushed & pumped up the blood & spreading the venom into vital organs, at the same moment the body of the poor victim started reacting to the Haemotoxic the brave healthy human set out unconscious due to sudden exposure to the snake venom & he was mediated & administered with 35 vials of anti venom consequently in a period of 10-12 hours,
The Anti-venom plays
As an and as a upshot  & attacks his kidneys & it’s function get’s affected, knowing this hectic  the private hospital twists up  &  affirms an unknown medical terminology to the hopeless relatives demanding to pay a huge amount and once the bills were settled , it backs off cleverly saying that he may hardly last for 6 or 8 hours. Hearing such a fraught the whole family cried & shouted they left alone in middle of nowhere, selvaraju was struggling for life   while they were forced get out of the hospital, but fortunately  one of their friends informed them about another option for  taking to an hospital In RAYAVELLUR  district at a distance on 7 to 8 hour travelling but according to doctors saying he won’t last that 6 to 8 hours  whit no other option Selvaraju was taken to Rayavellur by a best Ambulance driver and reached the city by 5 hours after bargaining & paying a sum of 20 thousand  in the private hospital

At the 3rd hospital
Doctors after keen examination had to disclose that there is no hope to save his leg as it got badly infected and it should be immediately amputated or else he won’t make it and it will cost up to 10 lacks for including the amputation operation on hearing this family felt a unbearable thunder strike on themThen with the consent of his family members few young armature physicians flushed out the contaminated blood through split opening the flesh into 3 pieces above & below the knees fortunately after this flushing out of blood & operation several overcomes the critical situation.Though his life was saved, all the places where ever the venom travelled was infected & the necrosis increased & found spread all over his leg this is the Third unpleasant situation he had to overcome. The brave courage man now burst in to a woeful cry when he was sharing about his situation when his leg was split opened in to 4-5 pieces – even after more than a year of the incident the necrosis has not been cured, his leg seems to have raw necrosis he has to clean it himself every day and It was anguished to see flies around him he too felt very disturbed & irritated.

With no words, before we could depart from him with just a console & hopefully wishing him a speedy recovery with tears he shared a word with us saying
“Even an enemy should not experience this horrible situation –
Snakebite is such a awful tragedy
Snakes are protected by Indian wildlife Act also it plays a vital role in maintaining the eco balance Life cycle & also agricultural sustaining factor and a friend of farmer  Snakebite is inevitable for our society & custom with a practice & to walk in bare foot Farmers being already scheduled due to lack of political, financial support have & overwhelmed with survival issues, & real estate misleading & threats if he had to bear such an awful occupational hazard &tragedy in everyday life  he would have to leave his occupation  AGRICULTURE: Agriculture is the life line of life . Every profession stays only behind Agriculture . Without agriculture the whole world will perish
The Cruel Misery - Snakebite - India is the hot spot of Snakebite Deaths affecting most of the Rural Communities (Farmers) Just because of
this group is to address
Lack of Awareness, on Snakes, Snakebites
Lack of Information,
Lack of effects of venom,
Lack of Improved /Advanced treatment Procedures & Facilities,
Lack of Treatment Centres @ the Reach in Rural
Lack of Support, Lack of Skilled advocacy etc...
that is a overall Lack in every aspect of Snake, Snakebite & Snakebite Treatment
Yet there is No other ORGANIZED Effort for Non Profit like NSI to cope up with Emergencies Arsing out of Snakes & Snakebite- NSI is Asia's Foremost Non Profit & India's prime organized effort Recognized  nonprofit in the field

About Snakebite

Snakebite a Neglected Tropical Disease in 21st Century- Says: - World Health Organization...Early in 2009, snake-bite was finally included in the WHO’s list of Neglected tropical diseases confirming the experience in many parts of this region that snake-bite is a common occupational hazard of farmers, plantation workers and others, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths each year and many cases of chronic physical handicap
Envenoming snakebite is largely a neglected threat to public health. It affects mainly the poor in deprived rural areas where health facilities and are limited and anti-venoms may be hard to obtain. Training of health staff in the management of envenoming is often neglected, despite good evidence that it improves outcome. Concerted action is needed to ensure supplies of effective antivenoms and to develop systems that deliver good quality health care to snake bite victims so that we can deal effectively with this problem, which causes severe disability, brings misery to families and which kills thousands of people. Total ignorance prevails about snakes and snakebite in India. Due to deep rooted superstitions many precious lives are lost and snakes are hounded and killed. Part of the problem is Common. People are usually not trained to deal with a snakebite emergency. Preparation, which includes knowing in advance about the basic knowledge about snakebite and how to get to the nearest hospital- could greatly reduce anxiety and lead to more effective care. The best solution is to educate people - disseminate information about snakes and snakebite - what are snakes, when and why do they bite, how to avoid getting bitten, what to do when bitten etc. as National Snakebite Initiative does to help to understand the Neglected Disease (Snakebite)

The aim of the project is to educate, support, protect & prevent deprived agricultural workers, rural populace, children Youth & Women form Snake, Snake attack Emergency, Shock & Snakebite, further to alleviate the sufferings caused by Envenomation (snake bite) by providing treatment based information support to the High risk rural areas & snake bite safety training animal control units at high risk & rural communities & Conduct & Promote Study & Research on the Same neglected disease &promote allied studies on the geographical variation of the pattern of Venom & invention of standard & affordable Antivenoms ...
Goal 1- Alleviate the burden & mitigate the sufferings of the Envenomation, through

FIVE HEADED COBRA - A Legend Myth

In India all epics and temples are constantly blend with wild animals and plants particularly snakes are exhibited from head to foot of God’s further adored with statues, pictures, Paintings and sculptures of five Headed cobr’s.being a culture of wisdom and science, i think all of them were taught to Us for one reason, one fact that is co- existence to “Respect Adore and Serve Nature” they struggle a lot to teach us, to build a culture that lives along with plants and animals treating them equally, but I fear that we have wrecked them unsuccessfully (Unmindfully Depleted the life supporting nature and provoked it against us)

Clipping from the News Paper
Several Local News papers & medias publishes News's on  Five Head snake Even  On 23-4 2010- Local Media (malai malar) & 24-4-2010 kalai kathir there was a media release in Erode, District Tamil. Nadu India, stating that a Person (photographer) living in kadamboor while returning after attending a program ffom near by tribal village on his way, stopped his bike on seeing a snake that displayed it’s hood with a the hissss as usual, and the person (RAMAN) with his cam shot a pic and returned home saw the pic in his computer and was shocked of seeing the 5 headed cobra and he captured the 5 head Snake  at once handled it to the forest department and the piety department is verifying the truth, Here is the picture and Clipping from the News Paper    The whole city seemed to believe that this is a real snake. Being of Indian they have been exposed to the idea of the five headed snake god Nagaraja, and many have happily accepted that the snake in the photo is an earthly representation of the myth. Now lets Compare take a close look at the all images from Internets it is particularly egregious. The only clear thing in this image is the fact that it is obviously fake!

What’s that you say?
let's Use our Brain
Before u reply i give some more pictures of five headed cobra’s        Now What’s that you say? Obviously Photo-shopped !!! Yeah, that’s exactly what I said. But, some people might argue, if you can get Two Headed Snakes, why not five headed snakes? Luckily that question is very easy to answer. Animals born with more than one head have a condition called polycephaly (literally “manyheads”) and polycephalic animals only come in two kinds; bicephalic(having two heads) or tricephalic (having three heads). Animals with more than three heads have not been found in this real world Searching for images of polycephalic snakes on my favorite search engine yields many images of two headed snakes, and if you look closely you will see that truly polycephalic snakes have morphology which supports the extra head/s. I think that a few images will clearly illustrate my point;these images wheres clearly show that the snakes have two distinct heads. There is no blurring or smudging of the scale the heads split. Other images available on the media paper is a Photoshopped display  which claim {to be said as the photographers shot , is been copied (downloaded) }from internet to show a snake with five heads are just as blatantly false, the image is a particularly good fake, perhaps too good (pity about the thin strip of background just visible beneath each chin); And the image looks more like a child’s toy than anything else!

The Verdict? Five headed snake are rubbish, pls stir  the common sense
Some funny questions

if it is five head which brains command will it obey ?,

if it wants to move which way wil the body move in to the  right of left or ?

will it have to eat with its 5 mouths  5 preys ?,

will it hisss 5 times?

will it have a 5 pair?

pls it is said that  humans have 6 senses but now it is ? i ve  copied the details and photos from various posts and through search engine to clear to my smart intelligent
6 sensed local citizens thanks for my friends and the real stuff creators,
